Stopped in here while on vacation, my brother was interested in checking this place out, we were met by the nicest employee, Austin. He informed us my brother would be able to make his own knife! My brother, with developmental disabilities, was beyond welcomed by Dustin! They do not turn away anyone! My brother had the best time working with Dustin, and learning the craft to knife making. He talked about it the rest of the trip! I would recommend everyone to go here to see their beautiful inventory, and maybe even learn how to forge their own knife! They did tell us they do get very busy, so scheduling a class ahead is recommended. If we are ever back in this area, I guarantee we will stop here again! We could not thank Dustin and Austin enough for being so informative, patient, and inclusive!

Stopping in and watching my 13 year old forge his own knife and make it the way he wanted it was an experience we will never forget. The guys took their time with my son and explained everything along the way. Definitely a stop you don’t want to pass up if you’re visiting Gatlinburg.

I did the knife making experience myself. This was one of my favorite experiences I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing. As a hunter, I wanted more than the typical railroad spike knife option. The team at Viking blade supply took the time to go over all the options with me and were patient as I made decisions. They explained everything we were doing at every step, and answered all my beginner questions. I was able to pick an add on to the handle and they had a lot to choose from, I chose mammoth tusk. They had a ton of options for the wood part of the handle and let me take my time to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. They even ship the final product to your home! This, in my opinion, was also very affordable. I cannot say enough about how great this experience was and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience with a functional finished product.

As an 0311 Rifleman and Designated Marksman, Dustin deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After returning home and transitioning from military service, he discovered that blacksmithing offered more than a craft—it provided focus, purpose, and a productive outlet for the challenges many veterans face.
Today, Viking Blade Supply is built on that same belief. Every knife is forged with pride, precision, and respect for the craft, and every workshop is an opportunity to share that experience with others. While the shop welcomes visitors from around the world, Dustin is especially passionate about introducing fellow veterans to blacksmithing as a meaningful way to reconnect, build confidence, and find purpose through creating something with their own hands.
