Service Description

Step into the forge and experience the art of bladesmithing firsthand. In this immersive 1.5 to 2-hour workshop, you'll start with a blank piece of steel and transform it into your very own handcrafted knife. Working alongside an experienced blacksmith, you'll use traditional forging, hammering, shaping, and grinding techniques to bring your blade to life. Once your knife is complete, you can leave it with a metal handle you can finish it with a custom handle of your choice. Basic domestic wood and acrylic handle materials are available as well as premium exotic materials—including woolly mammoth molar and other specialty handle options—are available for an additional charge. Classes start at $85 for a basic metal handle blade and go all the way up to $500 for a Machete or Sword with a handle. Choose to shape and install your own handle during the workshop, or have the blacksmith complete the final handle fitting for later pickup or shipping. Every knife is unique, every experience is hands-on, and every guest leaves with a deeper appreciation for the craft of bladesmithing.
